該劇改編自《喜鵲謀殺案》的直接續(xù)作。
Susan已經離開出版社，和交往多年的男友Andreas搬到了克里特島居住，但一起謀殺案的陰影擾亂了她的美好生活。英國的一家鄉(xiāng)村酒店在八年前發(fā)生了一起謀殺案，Alan Conway在參觀了這家酒店后，根據(jù)發(fā)生的事情寫了一本小說。幫助經營這家酒店的年輕女子Cecily Treherne讀到了這本書，認為警方抓錯了人。如今她消失了。
Susan能揭開書中隱藏的秘密，并在為時已晚之前找到Cecily嗎？
